The Brief

A website that represents who she is

Jennifer didn’t want a website that simply listed what she does. She wanted a digital representation of who she is.

Her work spans different areas, and she wanted the website to reflect her as a multifaceted woman rather than reducing her identity to a single title.

The starting point was Jennifer’s brand vision, personality and the way she wanted the different sides of herself to come through.

The Idea

One woman. Nine personas.

One of the key ideas behind the website was Jennifer’s nine personas.

Rather than treating these different sides of her as separate brands, we built the website experience around them.

Each persona represents a different part of Jennifer’s story, personality and professional life, while the overall website brings them together as one personal brand.

Brand Direction

Building around Jennifer's vision

The design process started with understanding how Jennifer saw herself and how she wanted that identity to come through.

Rather than imposing a predetermined visual direction, we worked around her ideas, personality and vision for the brand.

This influenced the visual direction, photography, content structure and the way the different personas were presented across the site.

Collaboration

Bringing the Brand Together

Jennifer’s website was a collaborative effort involving Jennifer, her content writer, her agency and the Niche Studio team.

Our role was to make sure all these different pieces came together as one cohesive website experience.

We worked closely with her content writer to guide how the content should be structured for the website, including how much content each section needed, how information should be broken up across the page, and where key messages should appear.

We also worked with her agency on the visual direction and assets, providing guidance on how the photography and other creative elements would work within the website.

A key part of our role was making sure the content and creative assets worked in the actual website environment, rather than being treated as separate pieces.

The Digital Experience

Turning the
vision into a website

The website needed to give each side of Jennifer enough space to be understood, while still making the overall experience feel like one person and one brand.

The design and content structure were developed together. We considered how much information each section needed, how it should be distributed on the page, and how the different visual elements could create a consistent flow.

The Persona Film

Giving the personas another dimension

Jennifer also created a movie around her personas, giving another dimension to the idea of who she is.

Rather than simply placing the video on the page, we considered how it would work within the overall website experience.

This included guiding how the video could sit within the hero section, how much surrounding content was needed, and how the first screen could introduce Jennifer without allowing the video to overwhelm the rest of the experience.

The Launch

Taking the website beyond the screen

The project also extended into Jennifer’s website launch event. The Niche Studio team attended the launch and joined Jennifer as the new website was introduced to her audience.

To help build anticipation, we also created a short teaser video giving guests a glimpse of the website before the full reveal.

The Result

A website that
still feels like Jennifer

For a personal brand project, the strongest result is not simply that the website looks good. It is that the person behind the brand feels represented by it.

Jennifer’s feedback reflects that. Even two years after the website was created, she said she was still proud of it and loved sharing it with people.

Working with Janice and the Niche Studio team was such a positive experience. What stood out most was Janice’s patience and her ability to really understand what I wanted my personal brand to communicate.

Even when she felt something wasn’t right for the website, she never imposed her view. She took the time to understand my vision, find a way to bring my ideas in, and gently guide me when she felt something could work better.

For a personal brand, that really matters. Your website needs to feel like you. Janice gave me the space to make the website my own while bringing her experience and perspective to the process. Even two years on, I’m still proud of my website and love sharing it with people.

The website brought Jennifer’s different personas, professional work and personality together in one digital experience, while giving her the space to tell her story in her own way.

The project also demonstrated Niche Studio’s role beyond website production: working with the client, content writer and agency to make sure the brand, content, photography and video worked together as one experience.
